Decision Games exhibits at numerous conventions each year. In 2024, this includes Dice Tower, West, Origins, Historicon, World Boardgame Championship, ConSimWorld Expo Tempe, Pacificon, SD Historical Game Convention, and Board Game Geek.
Do you like teaching others new games? Does everyone in your gaming group always come to you with their game questions? We are looking for volunteers experienced with our games who also enjoy teaching others. If interested, contact Doc using the contact form.
Strategy & Tactics Press (the magazine division of Decision Games) is seeking proofers for its magazine articles and magazine maps. You can join this team by contacting Doc using this form. You’ll be invited to audition with an upcoming issue, and then join the pool of proofers.
Our Vassal section is growing and now has over 150 modules total. We are adding modules on a regular basis from both our dedicated group of module creators as well as outside submissions. Please click here for an update on our progress and to visit our module page.
We have finished over 100 magazine game play test modules and have several magazine games available for play test with Vassal modules Click here. We’ve made the process easy by setting up a separate page with all the modules (and brief game descriptions) available for play test and an easy registration process to receive them. We’d appreciate your input on these games so they will be even better!
Game Testing. We start all new testers with our magazine games. Magazine games are tested in four eight-week cycles from January to September. Each cycle consists of four two-week rounds. During each round, testers are expected to play at least one complete game, and provide a report of all errata they found with suggested fixes, and an after-action report of the game play and play balance. Testers must live in the US and have regularly available play test partners (can be one partner for all four rounds or four different partners, but no solo play testing allowed).
For those outside the US and/or do not have regularly available gaming partners, we also are seeking game rules proofers. These individuals scour the final game rules and components to ensure clarity and identify errata before games and rules go into printing.
For anyone not able to make the above commitments, we also have opportunities for testing games at the conventions we attend. Check our upcoming convention schedule and contact Doc to set-up a test game.
If you are interested please use our form here to apply.
D-Day at Peleliu computer is also testing. E-mail Doc using the contact form if you are interested.
